Marble Falls tennis taking advantage of open courts

In less than a month, the Marble Falls High School tennis team is back at the Charlie and Nancy Herrington Tennis Center for fall training camp to prepare for the 2024 team tennis season. Marble Falls returns Monday, Aug. 5, for its first official practice then hosts Lockhart Tuesday, Aug. 6, travels to play at Copperas Cove Thursday, Aug. 8, and welcomes Leander Glenn Monday, Aug. 12. To prepare for the cross country season, the Marble Falls High School program began having organized practices last week. New head coach Brenda Gonzalez was pleased with several traits. Though the high school basketball season doesn’t start until November, the Faith Academy of Marble Falls girls basketball team participated in six weeks of work led by new head coach Harvey Vaughn. A driven group of Faith Academy of Marble Falls football players has spent the last month preparing for the 2024 season with the intention of not having a repeat of what happened last year.
