The Smoking For Jesus boys basketball team lost to Austin Savio 57-55 Jan. 10, a day after beating San Antonio Town East Christian 62-51. The Eagles (9-11) trailed by 15 points with 2 minutes and 30 seconds remaining and used their full-court press to create offensive opportunities. The Smoking For Jesus football team will welcome Bulverde Gloria Deo in the playoffs of the Texas Association of Independent Athletic Organizations at 7 p.m. Friday, Nov. 25, at Wallace Riddell Park, 710 Northington St. in Burnet.
