Steve Golemon’s contributions to Texas high school sports are numerous, and organizations are making sure they aren’t quickly forgotten. Most Texans may know Cedric Griffin as a cornerback for the 2005 national champion Texas Longhorns that defeated the University of Southern California in the Rose Bowl. The Burnet High School boys and girls track and field teams were third at the District 19-4A meet April 6-7. The Bulldogs earned 96 points, while the Lady Dawgs had 106 points.
