Several Marble Falls High School athletes advanced to the District 25 and 26 area meet thanks to finishing in the top four in their events at the District 25-5A meet April 13-14. A decade drought of a Mustang earning a medal at the tennis district tournament ended for Marble Falls High School on March 30-31 thanks to senior Brody Knight. Knight finished third in boys singles at the District 25-5A tournament and had a shot at advancing to the Class 5A Region IV tournament in a playback match. The Marble Falls High School golf teams left their marks in their final District 25-5A tournaments in 2022. Marble Falls is dropping to Class 4A beginning in the 2022-23 academic year. The Mustangs finished third overall by shooting 332-328–660 at Avery Ranch Golf Club in Austin March 29-30. After the first round, Marble Falls was in second place by one stroke in front of Georgetown and behind Leander Rouse. After leading the Marble Falls High School football team to the 2020 and 2021 playoffs, senior quarterback Jake Becker will suit up for Hardin-Simmons University in fall 2022. A new track at Marble Falls Middle School’s Pony Stadium and resurfacing of the courts at the Charlie and Nancy Herrington Tennis Center at Marble Falls High School means those facilities won’t be available to the public for a few weeks.
