Marble Falls youth football teams continue winning

The Marble Falls Youth Football and Cheer teams picked up wins against Burnet Oct. 7. The Marble Falls freshman purple team (Kindergarten-second grade) won 45-0, while the Marble Falls junior varsity purple (third- and fourth-graders) won 40-0. The Marble Falls fifth-graders won 20-0, and the Marble Falls sixth-graders lost 38-20. “That was a tough one for the sixth-graders,” association president ick Wood said. “It was a fun weekend, a rivalry weekend. The Marble Falls Youth Football and Cheer’s varsity (fifth- and sixth-graders) will play for the Hill Country Youth Football League championship thanks to beating Canyon Lake 31-6 Oct. 15 to remain undefeated on the season. The Mustangs (8-0) will face Boerne in the championship at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 29, at Lago Vista High School Stadium, 5185 Lohman Ford Road. Marble Falls youth football enjoys fitting day for 2022 season

Families living in south Burnet County made their way to First Baptist Church of Marble Falls June 11 to get their children fitted for another season of Marble Falls Youth Football and Cheer. After parents and grandparents checked in, they either went to the right to get their daughters and granddaughters fitted for cheerleading or kept walking forward with their star football player to get fitted for helmets, shoulder pads, jerseys and pants.
