The Canyon Lake High School football team finds itself in a tough spot after losing to the Taylor Ducks 66-28 Oct. 27. The road loss means the Hawks (2-7 overall, 1-3 District 13-4A Division I) will sit out the playoffs for the first time in almost a decade. The Burnet High School volleyball team crushed Waco Robinson 25-11, 25-15, 25-15 Oct. 31 in the first round of the Class 4A playoffs. This is the fourth consecutive bi-district championship for the Lady Dawgs. Burnet (26-12, 8-2 District 24-4A) will meet Caldwell at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 2, at Georgetown High School in the area round of the playoffs. Marble Falls girls basketball eager to add another chapter to storied history

The Marble Falls High School girls basketball team begins the 2023-24 season with a couple of certainties. The Lady Mustangs will begin the season by welcoming San Antonio Davenport Friday, Nov. 3. The subvarsities play at 5 p.m. with the varsity to follow at 6:30 p.m. First, the Lady Mustangs are the defending District 24-4A champions. It wasn’t even close as the Davenport Wolves handed the Canyon Lake Hawks their first  district loss on Oct. 13. The Wolves (5-2 overall, 2-0 District 13-4A Division I) beat the Hawks 70-13 at Davenport High School.
