Burnet boys soccer beats Florence to stay third in district

The Burnet High School boys soccer team defeated Florence 2-1 Feb. 20 to remain in third place in the District 25-4A standings. That victory snapped a two-match losing streak where the Bulldogs (8-8, 4-3) lost to Austin Achieve 8-0 Feb. 16 and to Marble Falls 6-0 Feb. 13. The Burnet High School baseball team defeated Fredericksburg 6-3 Feb. 19 in the season opener. The Bulldogs (1-0) scored a run in the first inning only to see the Billies plate two in their half of the inning.
