The Faith Academy boys basketball team defeated Lago Vista 57-45 Dec. 6, days after capturing the consolation championship of the Grand Saline tournament Dec. 2-3. “They do a good job of valuing possessions,” Faith head coach Zakk Revelle said of his players. “Ultimately, that’s good for us. The Faith Academy of Marble Falls boys basketball team defeated Jourdanton 51-24 Nov. 29 to move to 2-1 on the season, the Flames’ first game back from the Thanksgiving holiday. “We’ve been trying to schedule that game for a few years,” Faith head coach Zakk Revelle said. “A few years ago before (the Covid-19 pandemic), they had a good team and wanted to play us.” The Flames entered the contest with only eight players on the bench. The Smoking For Jesus football team will welcome Bulverde Gloria Deo in the playoffs of the Texas Association of Independent Athletic Organizations at 7 p.m. Friday, Nov. 25, at Wallace Riddell Park, 710 Northington St. in Burnet.
