Flames enjoy another lopsided victory in shortened contest

San Marcos Hill Country hosted senior night before the start of its baseball game against Faith Academy of Marble Falls April 8, so the Flames braced for the Rams’ best effort. Needless to say, Hill Country found few answers thanks to sophomore pitcher Kade Shaw, who led the Flames (5-2, 3-0 District 3-2A Texas Association of Private and Parochial Schools) to a 16-0 win in a contest that ended after three innings. Flames earn second win in shortened game

The Faith Academy of Marble Falls baseball team earned another run-rule win March 7. The Flames (2-0) beat New Braunfels Christian Academy 13-3 in five innings. After NBCA took a 1-0 lead in the first inning, Faith exploded for seven runs in the second, three in the fourth, and three in the fifth. Senior Case Coleman had 3 RBIs off 2 hits. When the Faith Academy of Marble Falls baseball team trotted onto the YMCA of the Highland Lakes field for its season opener March 4, few knew what to expect. And yet no one expected what they saw. The Flames crushed Bulverde Living Rock 15-0 in a contest that ended after three innings because of the run rule.
