Burnet baseball battles back, runs out of outs in loss to Jarrell

The Burnet High School baseball team lost to Jarrell 8-5 March 28 for its first loss in District 24-4A. The Bulldogs (5-1) trailed soon after the game started. “We didn’t pitch well at all,” Burnet head coach Russell Houston said. “We gave up seven runs in the first inning on two hits. Bulldogs split games against Jarrell, take the series

The Burnet High School baseball team split the two games with Jarrell, which were played March 29 and April 1. The Bulldogs (7-7-1, 4-3 District 19-4A) beat the Cougars (6-8-2, 2-5) 16-6 on March 29 but lost 2-1 on a walk-off sacrifice in the seventh inning April 1.
