The Llano High School football team overwhelmed San Antonio Cole 37-0 Sept. 22 in the District 13-3A Division I opener for both teams. The Yellow Jackets (3-2, 1-0) now focus their attention on a road trip to Luling (2-3, 0-1)at 7 p.m. Friday, Sept. 29. Burnet football’s playmakers take over against Jarrell

The Burnet High School football team performed well against Jarrell Aug. 17 in its final scrimmage before the start of the 2023 season. The Bulldogs scored numerous touchdowns and allowed a couple of Cougar scores. The Burnet High School baseball team split the two games with Jarrell, which were played March 29 and April 1. The Bulldogs (7-7-1, 4-3 District 19-4A) beat the Cougars (6-8-2, 2-5) 16-6 on March 29 but lost 2-1 on a walk-off sacrifice in the seventh inning April 1.
