Hill Country Stars Cheer and Dance win world championship

The four-person cheer squad of Hill Country Stars Cheer and Dance did what some thought was impossible — win the All-Star World Championship on April 21-22 in Orlando, Florida. The squad includes Morgan Burke and Alyssa Tamaseu, both of Marble Falls, and Laramie McIntire and Haley Booe, both of Granite Shoals. MFHS cheerleaders receive all-state, academic all-state honors

Five Marble Falls High School cheerleaders were named to the all-state team of the Texas Girls Coaches Association recently, while seven seniors made the academic all-state team. Head coach Lauren Berkman said she couldn’t be prouder of seniors Mary Cormier, Lillie Deeds and Jeanna Watson and juniors Alyssa Berkman and Anne McCary for their selection to the all-state team or of seniors Isabel Dahl, Maria Leon, Katy Marroquin, Anneliese Schmidt, Avery Tepper, Deeds and Watson for being named to the academic all-state team. Cheerleaders to compete at world championship

Hill Country Stars Cheer and Dance is sending its four-person cheer squad to the senior open pom division at the All-Star World Championships at Universal Studios in Orlando, Florida, on April 21-23. Team members Laramie McIntire, aged 14 of Granite Shoals, Alyssa Tamaseu, aged 20 of Marble Falls, Morgan Burke, aged 17 of Marble Falls, and Haley Booe, aged 24 of Granite Shoals, accepted the invitation from representatives, who saw the quartet compete at Six Flags March 5.
