The Burnet High School girls basketball team will face China Spring at 6:30 p.m. Monday, Feb. 10, at Copperas Cove High School for a bi-district championship. The Burnet High School boys soccer team defeated Florence 12-2 Jan. 23 after tying Austin Eastside Memorial 2-2 Jan. 17. In the regular season finale against Florence, Burnet prevailed 2-1. “Last year the Buffalos were making strides during the season,” head coach Benjamin Boorman said. Burnet boys soccer beats Travis in district opener

The Burnet High School boys soccer team beat Austin Travis 1-0 in the District 25-4A opener Jan. 14. The lone goal was scored by Genesis Ceron on a deflection on the Bulldogs’ first free kick of the night. The Burnet High School girls basketball team defeated Jarrell 46-43 Jan. 14. The victory puts the Lady Dawgs (12-14, 3-1) in a three-way tie for first in District 24-4A with Salado (16-11, 3-1) and the Lady Cougars (22-6, 3-1). The Burnet High School boys soccer team went 1-2 at the Manor tournament last weekend. The Bulldogs beat Columbus 2-0 thanks to goals from Miguel Valdez and Ricardo Flores.
