The Burnet High School girls basketball team beat Jarrell 56-46 Jan. 16 to remain unbeaten in District 24-4A play. The Burnet High School boys soccer team lost to Fredericksburg 3-0 Jan. 12 and to Cooperas Cove 3-0 Jan. 9. The Burnet Consolidated Independent School District Board of Trustees is gearing up for what may be a busier spring than it has ever had before. That’s because three individuals will be occupying offices they did not house during the fall semester: superintendent, director of athletics and school safety, and football head coach. The Highland Lakes Aces, a club volleyball program under the direction of Erin Sawyer, is beginning its second year and is adding more teams.
