Burnet’s Kade Shaw has ‘surreal’ day at the plate

Burnet High School senior Kade Shaw had a great day at the ballpark playing for the Austin Wings 17-and-under summer select baseball team. On June 9, Shaw went hit three home runs in three plate appearances, and one was a grand slam. He did it against Up Top from Dallas during The Opener tournament. The Burnet High School baseball team announced which of its players made the District 24-4A all-district teams. Trey Morrow was named the Newcomer of the Year. “We moved him up, and he played in three or four district games,” head coach Russell Houston said. “He’s a hard kid to get out. He hit the ball hard.
