The Bulldogs beat Marble Falls 34-0 and Troy 40-12 and lost to Little River Academy 13-6. Head coach Ben Speer noted the Bulldogs were inside the 25-yard line four times against Academy. One automatic bid to the 7-on-7 Division II state tournament is up for grabs at the Burnet State Qualifying tournament Saturday, May 28, and the Bulldogs and Llano are aiming to win it. Standing in the way are six other squads with the same intention. The tournament begins at 9 a.m. at Bulldog Field, 1400 Bulldog Stadium Drive.
