In my opinion it was a mistake to stick with Ewers for the entire season. I think he made the offense predictable and one dimensional. I don't think Manning would have been ready to step in at the last minute and save the season, but if they would have committed to him mid-season I think the playoffs would have had a different outcome. Ewers ceiling is much lower than Manning

I agree with you. What Texas fans will have to live with is there was little-to-no imagination on 1st & goal from the half yard line. The play that was called was 1 Texas hasn't had much success with throughout the season. And I can't help but wonder why wasn't Arch in there when he'd gotten a 1st down earlier in the game? Why do you think Arch didn't get in the game at that moment?
