Faith Academy athletics adds more milestones to banners

Saying the Faith Academy of Marble Falls athletics department experienced a banner year in 2021-22 doesn’t begin to describe the success. The Flames were undefeated in district play en route to titles in football, basketball, baseball and track and field. They repeated as the Class 2A state track and field champions. Edwards wanted Marble Falls coaching hires to help students succeed in all phases

Rick Edwards did more than repeat the Marble Falls Independent School District’s motto of having an unyielding commitment to loving every child — he lived it. That was apparent by the way the MFISD board trustee voted when it came to policies, funding unexpected expenses such as trips for extracurricular activities, and especially hires. Faith freshmen bring home state championship in girls doubles

The tradition of the Faith Academy of Marble Falls tennis team earning a state championship continued thanks to a pair of left-handed freshmen. Ryan Delmonico and Jaden Turrentine went 4-0 in girls doubles at the Class 2A state meet of the Texas Association of Private and Parochial Schools April 6-7 to win it all. Because the duo are freshmen, they didn’t receive a seed, which is given based on past history at the tournament. Marble Falls’ Knight earns bronze medal in boys singles

A decade drought of a Mustang earning a medal at the tennis district tournament ended for Marble Falls High School on March 30-31 thanks to senior Brody Knight. Knight finished third in boys singles at the District 25-5A tournament and had a shot at advancing to the Class 5A Region IV tournament in a playback match.
