Marble Falls team tennis beats Lago Vista

The Marble Falls High School team tennis team defeated Lago Vista 16-3 Sept. 19 in District 25-4A play. The Mustangs and Lady Mustangs won all the boys and girls doubles matches, six in all, and lost only one boys singles, one girls singles and the mixed doubles match. “Lago Vista lost a lot of boys,” Marble Falls head coach Samuel Whitley said. “They have one young man (Colten Lane), who’s really good. Marble Falls tennis starts community league

The Marble Falls Independent School District tennis program invites the community to join the triple tennis league. It’s on Mondays, beginning Sept. 23, from 5:30-6:30 p.m. at the Charlie and Nancy Herrington Tennis Center on the high school campus. It’s for people ages 9 and older. The Burnet High School team tennis team beat Salado 11-8 Sept 12 in District 25-4A play. “I am pleased to announce that we achieved victory,” coach Benjamin Boorman said. “We kept our playoff hopes alive.”  Team tennis plays seven doubles matches first — boys, girls and mixed.
