During the annual Meet the Mustangs introductory pep rally in August 2018, Rick Hoover, who was the athletics director, announced the athletics department added another sport — swimming — thanks to sophomore Landry Stewart and freshman Taylor Ashbaugh. Rick Edwards did more than repeat the Marble Falls Independent School District’s motto of having an unyielding commitment to loving every child — he lived it. Behrens signs NLI with McMurry University

On the October weekend Burnet senior swimmer Ryan Behrens visited McMurry University and was offered a scholarship, he committed.
