Saying the Faith Academy of Marble Falls athletics department experienced a banner year in 2021-22 doesn’t begin to describe the success. The Flames were undefeated in district play en route to titles in football, basketball, baseball and track and field. They repeated as the Class 2A state track and field champions. Faith Academy of Marble Falls senior golfer Libby Ross is returning to the Texas Association of Private and Parochial Schools state tournament after finishing as the runner-up at the district tournament April 25. Ross shot an 89, one stroke behind the district champion. It’s the third time in four years Ross is headed to state. Maddie DeBerard finished 15th in the girls division thanks to scoring 80-83–163, good enough for all-region honorable mention. The Marble Falls High School golf teams left their marks in their final District 25-5A tournaments in 2022. Marble Falls is dropping to Class 4A beginning in the 2022-23 academic year. The Mustangs finished third overall by shooting 332-328–660 at Avery Ranch Golf Club in Austin March 29-30. After the first round, Marble Falls was in second place by one stroke in front of Georgetown and behind Leander Rouse.
