Marble Falls athletes are committing themselves to summer workouts

Championships are won in the offseason. That was said by Pat Summit, the legendary University of Tennessee women’s basketball coach, right after the Lady Vols won one of their eight national titles. She commended her players for staying in Knoxville during the summer to work toward their championship. In many ways, that’s what’s happening with athletes at Marble Falls Independent School District. Strength and conditioning coordinator Richard Scales said he’s been pleased with the attendance, noting 75 high school and 45 middle school students are attending from 7-9 a.m. Monday-Thursday.…

The Marble Falls High School boys golf team shot a 320-328–648 during the two-day Class 4A state tournament May 22-23 at The Legends Golf Course in Kingsland. The score was good enough to finish 10th at the tournament. The Marble Falls High School boys golf team is the District 24-4A runner-up now that the tournament finished April 3-4 to qualify for the Class 4A Region III tournament.
