The Burnet High School football team travels to play at La Vernia at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Aug. 25, for the 2023 season opener. Bear Stadium is located at 221 San Antonio Road in La Vernia. The Burnet High School football team performed well against Jarrell Aug. 17 in its final scrimmage before the start of the 2023 season. The Bulldogs scored numerous touchdowns and allowed a couple of Cougar scores.
