The Burnet High School football team will have a new quarterback in 2023, and players are getting a glimpse of the quarterback competition during 7-on-7 play. Rhett Murray and Marcus Pimentel are vying for the position while leading the Bulldogs to a 2-1 record during the 7-on-7 State Qualifying Tournament at Bulldog Field May 27. The Burnet and Marble Falls high school boys and girls soccer teams featured several players on the all-District 25-4A teams. The Mustangs, who won the district title, had 13 athletes, while the Bulldogs, who finished fourth in district play, had 10 players.
