Faith Academy athletics adds more milestones to banners

Saying the Faith Academy of Marble Falls athletics department experienced a banner year in 2021-22 doesn’t begin to describe the success. The Flames were undefeated in district play en route to titles in football, basketball, baseball and track and field. They repeated as the Class 2A state track and field champions. The department earned an individual state title in tennis thanks to the doubles team of Ryan Delmonico and Jaden Turrentine. The Lady Flames also enjoyed great seasons in district play. Lange’s impact on his players will be felt for years to come

Llano High School girls coordinator and head basketball coach Todd Lange died May 4 after an eight-month battle with glioblastoma, an aggressive form of brain cancer. A fish fry fundraiser to benefit the family will be conducted from noon-2 p.m. Sunday, May 15, at the Llano High School cafeteria, 2509 Texas 16 in Llano. Cost for the meal is by donation. Faith Academy of Marble Falls boys basketball players Brock Davis and Case Coleman were named to the small private school all-state team by the Texas Association of Basketball Coaches.
