The Marble Falls High School baseball team is displaying plenty of characteristics coaches want to see from athletes: spunk, belief, a never-die attitude, and a willingness to compete until the final out. Head coach Tyler Porter points to two recent examples to illustrate those traits: come-from-behind wins against Fredericksburg 5-4 March 5 and Johnson City 3-2 March 3. The Faith Academy of Marble Falls baseball team earned another run-rule win March 7. The Flames (2-0) beat New Braunfels Christian Academy 13-3 in five innings. When the Faith Academy of Marble Falls baseball team trotted onto the YMCA of the Highland Lakes field for its season opener March 4, few knew what to expect. And yet no one expected what they saw. The Flames crushed Bulverde Living Rock 15-0 in a contest that ended after three innings because of the run rule.
