MF baseball showing traits for a special season

The Marble Falls High School baseball team is displaying plenty of characteristics coaches want to see from athletes: spunk, belief, a never-die attitude, and a willingness to compete until the final out. Head coach Tyler Porter points to two recent examples to illustrate those traits: come-from-behind wins against Fredericksburg 5-4 March 5 and Johnson City 3-2 March 3. Flames earn second win in shortened game

The Faith Academy of Marble Falls baseball team earned another run-rule win March 7. The Flames (2-0) beat New Braunfels Christian Academy 13-3 in five innings. After NBCA took a 1-0 lead in the first inning, Faith exploded for seven runs in the second, three in the fourth, and three in the fifth. Senior Case Coleman had 3 RBIs off 2 hits. Flames begin season with eye-popping performance

When the Faith Academy of Marble Falls baseball team trotted onto the YMCA of the Highland Lakes field for its season opener March 4, few knew what to expect. And yet no one expected what they saw. The Flames crushed Bulverde Living Rock 15-0 in a contest that ended after three innings because of the run rule. The Marble Falls High School baseball team has a 2-1 record in the Hill Country Classic tournament going into the final day of the event on Saturday, March 5, while the Burnet Bulldogs are 1-2.
