The Marble Falls High School baseball team went 4-0 at the Del Valle tournament March 10-11. The Mustangs stomped Del Valle 8-2, Manor 14-0, Hays Consolidated 11-0 and came back to beat Pflugerville Weiss 8-7. “It was good to see competition from other schools,” head coach Tyler Porter said. “There were tough kids there. The Burnet High School baseball team finished its own tournament with a 3-0-1 record March 9-11. The Bulldogs beat Comal Pieper 7-6, Geronimo Navarro 7-5 and Pieper 6-3 and tied Llano 6-6. Jesse Bachmayer’s squeeze bunt scored the winning runs against Pieper in the rematch.
