Both Marble Falls High School swimmers performed at their best at the Class 4A Region IV meet Jan. 31-Feb. 1 in San Antonio.

Freshman Logan Hargraves finished ninth in the boys 100-meter freestyle in 55.79 seconds, an improvement of sixth-tenths of a second. Freshman Noe Hall was 12tn in the girls 100-meter backstroke thanks to clocking 1:17.28, an improvement of 1.61 seconds.

“They are amazing athletes,” coach Elizabeth Coyle said. “They were never going to give up. This is all icing on the cake. They swam their hearts out.”

In the last 25 meters, Hargraves passed four swimmers in his race.

“He took off,” Coyle said.

Hall’s finish was similar. Going into the race, she indicated she “was going all out,” the coach said.

“I’m so proud of them,” she said. “They’re amazing swimmers. I can’t wait to see how much they improve from year to year.”
