The Burnet High School team tennis team beat Salado 11-8 Sept 12 in District 25-4A play. “I am pleased to announce that we achieved victory,” coach Benjamin Boorman said. “We kept our playoff hopes alive.” Team tennis plays seven doubles matches first — boys, girls and mixed. The Burnet High School volleyball team is 1-1 after two District 24-4A matches. The Lady Dawgs (13-13) lost to Salado 10-25, 26-28, 14-25 Sept. 17 after beating Marble Falls 25-8, 25-7, 25-8 Sept. 13.
