Burnet team tennis leans on new players
The Burnet High School team tennis team lost to Cameron Yoe 18-1 Sept. 5 in District 25-4A play. “Cameron had many good players top to bottom,” coach Benjamin Boorman said. “We knew it was going to be a challenge because Cameron knocked us out of the playoffs last year.” Robyn Massey and Alex Burns won Burnet’s only match by taking the third-set tiebreaker 10-8. “(They) took the best girls from Yoe to the wire,” Boorman said.
