Marble Falls Independent School District volleyball player Brighton Bernard and her Austin Performance Club team finished ninth at the USA Volleyball Girls Junior National Championship recently. The squad posted a 7-3 overall record in the patriot division of the event that had 109 teams. Bernard, who will join the Marble Falls High School volleyball team this fall, said finishing in the top 10 takes focus, hard work, teamwork and “getting to know each other.” “Being disciplined when you’re on the court,” she said.
