The Marble Falls Independent School District football program is offering its Mustang Football Fall Camp fom 6-8 p.m. Monday-Thursday, July 29-Aug. 1 at The Corral at Mustang Stadium on the high school campus.
The camp is for Kindergarteners-ninth graders. Cost is $60 and scholarships are available. A registration desk will be set up at the facility at 5:30 p.m.
Head coach Keri Timmerman and his staff will conduct the camp.
He strongly encouraged attendance from seventh-, eighth- and ninth-graders because of what they’ll be learning during the four-day event.
He noted the middle schoolers will learn the offense and defense, while the freshmen will get their equipment and then head to the field. The camp is especially important for the ninth-graders because coaches will be able to put each one in different positions and observe them. They’ll also learn the schemes.
“We want to figure out who’s where,” he said. “It’s a chance for coaches to get to know them.”
The camp takes place one week before the start of fall training camp with a Midnight Madness practice at 12 a.m. Monday, Aug. 5. The Midnight Madness practice is for high school football players.
