Marble Falls boys soccer loses to Boerne

The Marble Falls High School boys soccer team lost to Boerne 3-2 April 2 in the third round of the Class 4A playoffs.
The Mustangs’ season ended with a record of 21-2-2 and 10-0 in District 25-4A to repeat as district champions.
The Greyhounds (20-0, 10-0 District 26-4A champions), ranked No. 1 in Class 4A all year, scored a goal with 14 minutes and 29 seconds left in the first half and added another about 2 minutes later.
Boerne scored again with 9:29 left in the half for a 3-0 lead.
The Mustangs scored a goal before the intermission to trim the deficit 3-1.
Marble Falls scored on a free kick with 21:07 left in the contest.
