Marble Falls Middle School football goes 2-1 against Burnet

The Marble Falls Middle School football teams went 2-1 against Burnet Oct. 12. A combined B team of seventh- and eighth-graders defeated the Bulldogs 16-14. “We ran the ball the majority of the game,” coach Michael McDowell said. “We made one more play than they did.” Eighth-grader Cade Bresonio scored both touchdowns and both two-point runs. It wasn’t even close as the Davenport Wolves handed the Canyon Lake Hawks their first  district loss on Oct. 13. The Marble Falls Youth Football and Cheer teams picked up wins against Burnet Oct. 7. The Marble Falls freshman purple team (Kindergarten-second grade) won 45-0, while the Marble Falls junior varsity purple (third- and fourth-graders) won 40-0.
