The Burnet High School football team performed well against Jarrell Aug. 17 in its final scrimmage before the start of the 2023 season. The Bulldogs scored numerous touchdowns and allowed a couple of Cougar scores. Head coach Bryan Wood said what stuck out offensively was the passing game. “We played catch pretty well,” he said. “Last week we talked about the drops. We didn’t have that against Jarrell.
