The Highland Lakes has the nation’s No. 1 athlete on four legs. It’s Jack O Lantern, a two-and-a-half-year-old Afghan Hound, who is a lure coursing champion who clocked 28.08 mph in 2021. The starting quarterback battle at Llano High School has revealed plenty of strengths between the two athletes who have taken snaps for the Yellow Jackets 7-on-7 team.
