Marble Falls’ Moomaw signs to play at Dallas Christian College
Marble Falls High School senior Reese Moomaw will become a member of the Dallas Christian women’s soccer team after signing her National Letter of Intent during a ceremony May 19 at Marble Falls High School.
Moomaw was quick to say why she choose the Crusaders.
“The coaches and the team are really uplifting and positive, and they made me want to play there,” the Lady Mustang said.
She couldn’t recall when she first started playing the sport, only that it’s been “for a very long time.” Soccer has provided an outlet that has helped her, she added.
“Mostly so I can get my rage out,” she said. “I also make friends easier.”
She also played on the Lone Star Soccer select team.
The daughter of Laine and Nick Moomaw will major in education to become an elementary school art teacher.
Lady Mustangs head coach Abigail Blunt noted Moomaw’s impact on and off the field.
“She’s a leader you want on your team every single time,” the coach said. “I can’t wait to see her on the next level.”
As Moomaw celebrated the moment with family and friends, observers could see the positive impact soccer has made on her, something she pointed out before returning to them for photos.
“Playing locally I got to connect more with some of my teammates and encourage them,” she said. “I want to thank everybody who helped me a long the way.”
