Faith Academy athletics adds more milestones to banners

Saying the Faith Academy of Marble Falls athletics department experienced a banner year in 2021-22 doesn’t begin to describe the success. The Flames were undefeated in district play en route to titles in football, basketball, baseball and track and field. They repeated as the Class 2A state track and field champions. The department earned an individual state title in tennis thanks to the doubles team of Ryan Delmonico and Jaden Turrentine. The Lady Flames also enjoyed great seasons in district play. Marble Falls High School senior runner Sam Valdez sat at a table surrounded by four years of hard work and accomplishments, waiting for his name to be called to sign his National Letter of Intent. Marble Falls High’s Ashbaugh will swim at Illinois College

During the annual Meet the Mustangs introductory pep rally in August 2018, Rick Hoover, who was the athletics director, announced the athletics department added another sport — swimming — thanks to sophomore Landry Stewart and freshman Taylor Ashbaugh.
