Faith freshmen bring home state championship in girls doubles

The tradition of the Faith Academy of Marble Falls tennis team earning a state championship continued thanks to a pair of left-handed freshmen. Ryan Delmonico and Jaden Turrentine went 4-0 in girls doubles at the Class 2A state meet of the Texas Association of Private and Parochial Schools April 6-7 to win it all. Segovia earns the wild card to pole vault at the state meet

Marble Falls pole vaulter Django Segovia will compete at the Class 5A state track meet after earning the wild card, which means he had the best vault among the four regional bronze medalists. He cleared 15 feet on his second attempt. The state track meet is Friday, May 13, at Mike Myers Stadium on the University of Texas campus, 707 Clyde Littlefield Drive in Austin.
