Flames need extra inning to run rule Bryan Allen Academy

The Faith Academy of Marble Falls baseball team battled some early adversity against Bryan Allen Academy for a 15-0 win April 14. The Flames (6-2, 4-0 Texas Association of Private and Parochial Schools) needed four innings to enact the run rule and got another stellar pitching performance from sophomore Kade Shaw. Shaw gave up 1 hit and 3 walks and struck out 11. Errors lead to very different outcomes for the Lady Dawgs

Bad weather April 12 forced the Burnet High School softball team to play in back-to-back contests April 13-14 where the Lady Dawgs got different results. Burnet (19-8, 5-4 District 19-4A) defeated Taylor (6-3) 6-4 one night after losing to Salado (3-5) 9-4. “It was huge,” head coach Hailey Wooten said of the win. “They could see our playoff hopes dwindling, and they knew that’s not how it’s supposed to be, not with all the potential we have. The Burnet High School baseball team illustrated almost every emotion known in sports in a 24-hour period. Mustangs dominate in all three phases for win over Leander

A complete game. That’s what Marble Falls High School baseball coach Tyler Porter kept telling his players was the key to victory. After advancing to a regional tournament for the first time in the history of its program, several members of Burnet High School girls soccer team were selected for several individual awards by District 18-4A coaches. Granite FC Elite, a soccer team featuring players who are under the age of 15, won the South Texas Cup championship April 9-10, which advances the squad to the South Texas Cup Finals at the end of the month. Marble Falls’ Knight earns bronze medal in boys singles

A decade drought of a Mustang earning a medal at the tennis district tournament ended for Marble Falls High School on March 30-31 thanks to senior Brody Knight. The Burnet High School boys and girls track and field teams were third at the District 19-4A meet April 6-7. The Bulldogs earned 96 points, while the Lady Dawgs had 106 points.
