Ross is the district runner-up, moves on to state tournament

Faith Academy of Marble Falls senior golfer Libby Ross is returning to the Texas Association of Private and Parochial Schools state tournament after finishing as the runner-up at the district tournament April 25. Ross shot an 89, one stroke behind the district champion. It’s the third time in four years Ross is headed to state. Hill Country Stars Cheer and Dance win world championship

The four-person cheer squad of Hill Country Stars Cheer and Dance did what some thought was impossible — win the All-Star World Championship on April 21-22 in Orlando, Florida. The squad includes Morgan Burke and Alyssa Tamaseu, both of Marble Falls, and Laramie McIntire and Haley Booe, both of Granite Shoals. Burnet athletes set new personal records en route to regionals

The Burnet High School track and field team qualified numerous athletes in various events to the Class 4A Region III meet and some set new personal bests to get there. The Bulldogs and Lady Dawgs each finished fourth in the team standings of the District 19 and 20-4A area track meet April 21. The Bulldogs scored 69 points in the boys division, while the Lady Dawgs scored 68 points in the girls division.
