Making routine plays leads to Burnet’s first district win

In a 2-1 win against Jarrell March 8 to begin District 19-4A play, the Burnet High School baseball team gave a glimpse of how the Bulldogs will be successful. Lady Dawgs shut out Lampasas in Battle for U.S. 281

The Burnet High School softball team quickly dispatched of Lampasas on March 8, winning 9-0. Head coach Hailey Wooten noted the Lady Dawgs (15-3) led 3-0 through six innings and then erupted for six runs in the seventh inning. Burnet recorded 15 hits. “I always tell them hitting is contagious,” she said. “If we can get our bats rolling, it triggers all the way down.
